Join Team Fluent

The culture of Fluent is collaborative and energetic. We are focused, flexible and fast.  Best of all, we are hiring in a big way.

Ready to join a fast-growing startup?

Fluent is staffing up to keep pace with the exponential growth we are experiencing. Our small yet mighty team is looking to double in size over the next 90 days, and probably add another three soon thereafter. Maybe that’s you or someone you know!

Fluent is a fintech startup with a revolutionary new product called The Fluency Score. It operates like a FICO Score for startups, measuring and describing innovation and business model risk. We partner with organizations that deploy capital and resources to startups.

About Us

We are a startup! You have to enjoy autonomy and be comfortable with the deep amount of change and uncertainty we work through every day. We value folks who are kind, thoughtful, smart, willing to challenge the status quo, and eager to roll up their sleeves and figure out how to solve a problem.

Our team is deeply committed to serving founders and helping entrepreneurial communities thrive. At the heart of every decision we make is whether it advances the field of entrepreneurial support, improving the outcomes and opportunities for founders — especially those living in unlikely places who don’t fit the standard founder mold.

Remote + IRL

We are a Denver-based company built from the ground up to be remote-first. Even before social distancing, we built our team culture, communications, productivity, and client interactions on a foundation of virtual tools. Our clients and the founders we serve are everywhere and this allows us to be responsive and efficient with our services.

So, if we’re already set for 100% remote, why are we hiring a Denver-based team?

While we are capable of 100% remote work, we know there is a huge benefit to working in person at times.  When it is safe to gather as a team in person again, we’ll be integrating a flexible combination of remote (WFH) and in-person team work days. We want to hire a team that is ready for that.

What this means is that, practically-speaking, you may be a great fit for our team even if you don’t live in the Denver area right now, but are willing to move here within the next six months(ish). It also means that being “Denver-based” could mean anywhere on the Front Range, as long as you’re comfortable with a commute into central Denver when we eventually have in-person work sessions.

Open Positions

The Fluency Score works like a FICO Score for startups, measuring and describing product-market fit. As a data technology startup, we have developed the industry’s first standardized metric of business model risk. We have customers in nine states and large multi-year contracts.

The Fluency Score algorithm removes subjectivity and bias from startup evaluation, selection, and support. It allows our clients to access real-time, actionable data on impact and progress. Joining the Fluent team at this stage means you have the opportunity to contribute to a category-defining innovation at exactly the right moment in time. Well done. 🙂
